Turned from green Ash felled locally due to Ash Dieback, this vase has a clean, tapering form with only the slightest movement from the natural drying process. The pale wood features delicate traces of spalting — gentle, darker lines that drift through the grain with quiet character.
The interior is shaped as a straight flute rather than hollowed traditionally, making this vase perfect for a single dried stem or as a sculptural object in its own right. The rim is smoothly finished, and the surface has been treated with Osmo Top Oil for a soft, natural sheen.
