Small Spalted Ash Bowl
£130
Availability: In stock
This wide, shallow bowl is turned from Spalted Ash sourced from Westonbirt Arboretum, felled due to Ash Dieback. The pale wood is dramatically marked with natural spalting, creating a striking contrast of dark patterning against lighter grain.
The bowl retains a mostly smooth form, but natural notches and dimpled textures—formed where the spalting influenced the wood’s structure—add to its rustic character. These subtle irregularities give the bowl a tactile, organic feel that reflects its natural origin.
Finished with Osmo Top Oil for a soft sheen and lasting protection, the bowl is food-safe but intended as a decorative piece only.
