Spalted Ash Vessel with Eroded Rim
£165
SOLD
This vessel is turned from spalted Ash sourced from Westonbirt Arboretum, felled due to Ash Dieback. Its simple form, paired with the pale, patterned wood, gives it a timeless quality — reminiscent of ancient pottery from Greece or Rome, reimagined through the lens of nature and wood.
Dark, organic spalting runs through the surface in delicate, shifting patterns, while subtle dimpling and an eroded rim add to the aged, weathered character of the piece. Despite its rustic qualities, the vessel has a modern sensibility — sculptural, understated, and rich in texture.
Finished with Osmo Top Oil and food-safe, this piece is intended for display.
