Turned from green oak and left to find its own form as it dried, this vessel is a collaboration between maker and material. The shape has shifted, splits have opened, and the result is something that could not have been planned or repeated.

The surface tells the full story of the wood — rich spalting, bold grain patterns and knots that were revealed during turning, combined with the movement and cracking that came with drying. Rather than working against these qualities, the making process embraces them entirely. Imperfection here is not incidental — it is the point.

Finished with natural Auro oil, which enhances the warmth and depth of the grain while keeping the piece grounded and tactile.
