Eroded Rim Antique Style Oak Vessel

Turned from Oak branchwood sourced at Westonbirt Arboretum, felled naturally at the end of its life, this vessel carries a quiet, antique presence. The live edge traces the natural contour of the branch, resembling erosion worn slowly over time — giving the piece an aged, organic quality that feels discovered rather than made. A split around the pith adds further character, while the finely turned walls sit in deliberate contrast to the rawness of the rim.

Throughout the surface, medullary rays catch the light — those characteristic silvery streaks that reveal themselves only in Oak, running across the grain in shifting patterns of tone and texture.

Finished with natural Auro oil.
