Apple Wood Vessel – IX

An enclosed hollow form — a departure from the more open vessel shapes in this collection, and one that creates a different kind of presence.

The rounded, contained form brings the surface character of the wood into focus, with stunning natural patterning, rich grain and intricate knots becoming the primary subject of the piece.

Turned from apple wood sourced from Westonbirt Arboretum and finished with natural Auro oil.

A quiet, sculptural object with considerable depth.

Pieces may have tool marks, warps, cracks or irregularities - they’re all part of the story!
