Apple Wood Vessel – VII

A vessel defined by an extraordinary detail: a natural inclusion in the side of the form creates an opening through which light passes, revealing the thinness of the walls and offering a glimpse through the material itself. This is not a design decision but a feature of the wood, retained and allowed to become central to the piece.

Turned from apple wood sourced from Westonbirt Arboretum, with a live edge and natural grain throughout.

Finished with natural Auro oil.

Pieces may have tool marks, warps, cracks or irregularities - they’re all part of the story!
