Apple Wood Vessel – XII

The standout piece of the collection.

A large vessel with real presence, shaped to follow the natural contour of the wood.

A sweeping, dramatic live edge frames a surface of high-contrast grain, intricate knots and a striking interplay between light sapwood and darker heartwood tones. The form retains a direct and visible connection to the tree it came from, while the close, warm grain of the apple wood rewards extended observation.

Turned from timber sourced from Westonbirt Arboretum and finished with natural Auro oil.

Pieces may have tool marks, warps, cracks or irregularities - they’re all part of the story!
